"Blakely" is the second in the Designer Series in which pattern pieces, such as sleeves, skirt embellishment, hemline treatments, neckline treatments, etc., may be used with other pattterns in the series to create dozens of garments variations.  These interchangeable pattern pieces may also be used with "The Collar Dress, " "Beach Dresses III," and "Landon."  
 
"Blakely" features three variations which may be used for summer and fall sewing.  The tiered sundress and top variations are embellished with ruffled ribbon and novely buttons.  The corduroy jumper variation has a hemline band and is monogrammed.  All three variations have a  back button closing with a skirt placket.
 
The tiered sundress or top variations are perfect to mix and match and for some of your fabric scraps. They create a trendy dress or a cute top which may be worn with shorts, capri pants, or long pants.  Add fun trims, like ruffled ribbon, or rick rack, and novelty buttons, to complete your trendy variation.
 
Fabric Recommendations
 
The tiered sundress or top is ideal for mixing and matching your 100% cotton fabric prints, but they may also be combined with corduroy for the fall and winter.  They are perfect for wearing over a turtlencek to add pizazz to a child's wardrobe through the fall and winter.  The sundress/jumper variation is designed for corduroy, mixing prints with solids to make trendy, or seasonal variations.
